Daniel Duarte

About

I’m Daniel Duarte, a mechanical engineer and a 2026 graduate of Duke University, where I earned a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering and a certificate in Aerospace Engineering.

I enjoy work that connects analysis to something physical: designing a part, building a test setup, or figuring out why a system behaves differently from the model. My projects have included wind-tunnel testing for data center cooling, a machined pressure vessel, a pump support structure, a low-cost laparoscopic training box, feedback control of a magnetic levitation system, and compressible-flow simulation.

I also build software to solve practical engineering problems, including a project-management tool for engine overhaul that connects task dependencies and progress tracking with an interactive view of the engine.

Outside engineering, I enjoy strength training, running, cooking, and photography.
